Robotic cleaning for large-scale photovoltaic installations
SR1 is a robot from the ICSbot range designed for the professional cleaning of large areas of solar panels. Its two nanofibre brushes, combined with water injection, remove dirt from the modules and reduce the need for manual intervention on the installation.
It is tracked and allows all its functions to be controlled remotely. It offers an effective cleaning width of 1,300 mm, three travel speeds and a stated performance of 1,500 m²/h. It can operate on panels with a slope of up to 25° and is fitted with ultrasonic anti-fall sensors to facilitate controlled movement.
Its rechargeable, removable battery provides between 6 and 8 hours of running time. Weighing 20 kg without the brushes, the SR1 makes it easy to transport to sites where access to the panels is difficult.
WHY SR1?
- Wide-area cleaning: its two brushing modules provide an effective width of 1,300 mm.
- Brushing tailored to the panels: the nanofibre brushes work in conjunction with the water spray to clean the surface of the modules.
- Remote control: allows you to operate all the robot’s functions, with a stated range of up to 300 m.
- Controlled movement: the tractor tracks, three speeds and anti-fall ultrasonic sensors make operation easier.
- Battery life for a full working day: removable lithium battery with a stated runtime of 6 to 8 hours.
- Easy to carry: the robot weighs 20 kg without the brushes.
- Cleaning area: 1,500 m² of solar panels per hour.

- Routine maintenance work aimed at reducing the need for manual intervention on the modules.

FAQ ABOUT SR1
How many square metres of solar panels does the SR1 clean per hour?
1,500 m²/h, 1,300 mm cleaning width.
How much does a solar panel cleaning robot cost?
Get in touch with us and we’ll let you know.
Can you clean tilted solar panels?
The SR1 can clean solar panels with an inclination of up to 25° using anti-fall sensors.
How long does the battery last?
Between 6 and 8 hours, with a removable battery.
Do you need water to clean the panels?
Yes, the SR1 needs water to clean the panels.
How is the robot transported to the site?
The robot has a modular design specifically tailored for hard-to-reach areas. When the brushes are removed, the main body weighs just 20 kg, which solves the logistical problem in two ways:
-
Manual handling: A single operator can load it safely from the ground.
-
Easy to hoist: Its light weight makes it easy to lift onto decks or into difficult-to-reach areas.
